What information does AHydraulics need to start a project?

Whatever you already have. A drawing, a 3D model, a hydraulic schematic, or simply a description of the problem is enough to start the conversation.

Useful details include the required force or pressure, flow, installation dimensions, operating conditions and expected annual volumes. If information is missing, we work it out together.

  1. What does a hydraulic OEM partner do?
    "

A hydraulic OEM partner does more than supply components from a catalogue. We start from the application: what the machine has to do, under which conditions, and within which dimensions. Based on that, we select existing components or adapt them where needed.

We then test the solution with you and stay involved until it runs in series production. For you, this means one technical partner who understands the whole hydraulic system, not just individual parts.

    "
  2. Can AHydraulics help design the hydraulics for a new machine?
    "

Yes. When you develop a new machine or concept, we can think along from the early design stage. Together we determine which hydraulic functions are needed, how they are controlled and which components fit the design.

Where possible, we supply the hydraulics as a complete package, so the components are matched to each other. That saves your engineering team time and reduces the number of interfaces to manage.

    "
  3. Does AHydraulics supply to specification, or does AHydraulics also advise?
    "

Both, depending on what you need. If your R&D team already knows exactly which components it wants, we supply to specification.

If you are dealing with a technical problem, looking for an alternative, or working on an application that standard products do not cover, we sit down with you and work out a solution. In practice, a project often starts as a supply question and turns into a joint engineering question along the way.

    "
  4. When do you need custom hydraulic components instead of standard ones?
    "

If a standard product does the job, we recommend it. A custom component is needed when installation dimensions are fixed and no standard part fits, when a specific function cannot be achieved with a standard design, or when several functions need to be combined in one component.

Rotary joints with electrical slip rings, for example, are often designed specifically for one machine. We work out the adaptation, align the test with you, and stay involved until it works.

    "
  5. How does a custom hydraulic project work?
    "

It starts with the application and your requirements: loads, movements, installation space, operating conditions and quantities. Based on that, we propose a solution and discuss whether an existing component will do or an adaptation is needed.

For custom work, we develop a prototype, which is tested in your application. After approval, we bring the solution into series production. Throughout the process, you keep one point of contact who knows the technical background.

  7. Does AHydraulics work with OEM's outside the Netherlands?
    "

Yes. We work with machine builders internationally and have access to a worldwide network of manufacturers. This allows us to select the right component for the application, regardless of where it is produced.
